El martes estuvimos visitando un instituto de Educación Secundaria muy especial. Está especializado en alumnado con Déficit intelectual de diferentes grados. ¡Qué sitio más maravilloso!
On Tuesday we went to visit a Secondary School which was very special. It is specialized for students with some Intelectual Issues in different levels. What a wonderful place!
Tienen talleres para que todos los estudiantes puedan aprender una profesión: albañilerÃa, carpinterÃa, pintura, cuidado de personas mayores....
They have workshops so that all the students can learn a job: masonry, carpentry, painting, eldery caring....
O incluso a ser un buen dependiente en una tienda....
Or even how to be a good sales assistant....
También aprenden a tener su casa ordenada y a ser autónomos

Su proyecto de radio es muy sencillo. Y en eso consiste la magia.
Their radio project is very simple. And that is the magic of it.
El estudio de radio tiene grandes ventanas al patio. Y eso lo hace el sitio ideal para hacer una "radio dj" en las horas de recreo.
The radio studio has big windows to the playground. That that makes it the ideal place to have a "Dj radio" during break time.
Utilizan un programa muy sencillo: Youtube Dj, que tiene apoyos visuales estupendos.
They use a very simple program: Youtube Dj, with wonderful visual support.
Cada dÃa, dos alumnos son voluntarios. Firman un compromiso de buenas prácticas y seleccionan la música que ellos quieren (evitando temas muy conflictivos).
Each day, two students are voluntary djs. They sign a Good Practice commitment and select the music that they want to play (avoiding problematic topics).
Tienen un coordinador que les ayuda si tienen dificultades. El coordinador también es un alumno.
They have a radio coordinator who help them if they have difficulties. The coordinator is also a student.
Una forma sencilla y estupenda de motivar a los alumnos haciendo algo que a ellos les gusta y les hace sentir muy útiles. Gracias por enseñarnos lo fácil que puede ser hacer cosas estupendas.
A very simple and wonderful way of motivating the students by doing something that they enjoy and makes them feel very important. Thanks for showing us how easy could be to do fantastic things.
